The cows are responsible for the beautiful glow of brilliance and energy of the world. Vedic literature says ‘gou sarve sukhprada' which implies cow gives all pleasure to human beings- wealth as well as health. Indian agriculture, health,hygiene and environment have been largely dependent on cow for thousands of year. Now Barnamala Educational And Cultural Society run a goushala for cow preservation. At present there are 130 cows & ox in our goushala. Every day expense of goushala is minimum 8000/-(eight thousand rupees) which include staff salary, food for cows like paddy straw, wheat grains and for maintenance. Daily income from milk and sale of cow dung is 2600/-(two thousand six hundred only),daily deficit is 5400/-.In our goushala 60% is aged cow and ox. The cost of maintaining a single cow in our goushala is Rs.61 for one day and for 100 cows is Rs. 61 x 50 cows = Rs. 3,050.
