The Agape Youth Welfare Organisation was founded in the year 1993 as a voluntary organisation, by a group of enthusiastic and socially conscious youngsters lead by Mr. C. Robin Lotha. The word 'Agape' has its origins in the Greek language which means "Brotherly Love or God's Love for Man”. Since its Inception we have been implementing various social welfare programmes in Wokha district, Nagaland. The primary objective of the organisation is to prevent and control anti-social activities such as drug abuse, alcoholism, child trafficking, illegal/commercial sex, HIV/AIDS, gender discrimination etc. We also work towards the socio-economic development of rural and sub-urban areas through rural employment generation programmes like skill development, women and youth empowerment, vocational trainings as well as the promotion and optimal utilization of natural resources and environmental protection. Mr. Lotha has gained experience with various national level NGO's and has undergone extensive training in matters of drug abuse and HIV/AIDS. We are fully dedicated and committed towards the welfare of mankind, regardless of background, caste, sex, colour, religion, language and status.
