Bureau of Obligate and Accompanier for Rural Development (BOARD) is a Non-Government Organization (NGO) working in Bihar since 1995 to bring sustainable changes in the socio-economic condition of the most vulnerable and marginalized sections of the society.
BOARD is committed to give a specific shape to the marginalized groups of the society through education, livelihood (Vocational Training & Micro Credit) and health programs. Currently, under our livelihood and education programs, 30 women & adolescent girls are getting trained in basic Computer skill, tailoring & embroidery at our 2 vocational centres; 86 underprivileged children (age 03-10) are studying in 2 NFE (Non Formal Education) schools run by us. In our 20 years of operation in the field of education & skill training, we have enrolled a total of 1326 students in formal schools and helped a total of 452 women & girls get employment or become self-employment through vocational training. BOARD was founded by Naresh Chandra Verma, who has 22 years of experience in social sector.
