Kalkeri Sangeet Vidyalaya (KSV) is a charitable and residential school that supports and empowers children from socially marginalized and economically disadvantaged backgrounds. This is done through an intensive and comprehensive educational programme and through the performing arts which are undertaken in a peaceful rural residential setting. Through their achievements at KSV, the students will be in a position to attain more meaningful livelihoods, thereby breaking the cycle of persistent poverty and thus creating a better future for themselves and their communities. Through their music the children will contribute towards the conservation and diffusion of India’s vast musical heritage. KSV now supports 235 children, teenagers and young adults, and employs over 70 members of staff, comprising of teachers, the administration team, wardens, cooks and maintenance workers.
