It was in March 2003 when a group of young people met in a social function to sensitize the rural people about their basic rights, assist them to recognize and to develop their potential through skill formation, knowledge sharing and guide them to generate economic benefit for sustainable benefit in the rural economy. Inspired by few elderly people, they decided to work towards social causes. This way the journey on the path to work for disadvantaged people began under an umbrella they named ‘Santana’ (a society for connecting hearts), which implies support to the needy. The team believed in humble effort to show the disadvantaged section the route from darkness to a world of brightness for a search of youthful and energetic life.
