Established in 2011, by Satish Manchikanti, a successful businessman and Ajit Sivaram, a youth worker, U&I has always been about aiming to make a difference by educating and rehabilitating people from various communities. With a focus on engaging people in social action, U&I runs 21 projects across Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai, Mysore and Coimbatore in partnership with orphanages, state homes, colleges, corporates and NGOs. As of today, U&I impacts more than 750 people directly on a weekly basis. Our after-school program, U&I Teach, helps to increase the employability of women, children and youth from lesser privileged backgrounds with courses in English, tuitions and life skills. Statistics prove that simple knowledge of English in a metro city increases a youth's employability by 400%.
