Established in 1991, Vidyaranya is a 29 year old organization with a vision to create a prosperous, harmonious and peaceful society that provides equal opportunities to all. To achieve the same, Vidyaranya aims to work with the marginalized sections of the society with a mission to empower them and create sustainable solutions. We impact the lives of 1200+ people on a daily basis.
Vidyaranya works in four major areas namely: Children, Children with Special needs,women and senior citizens. As an organization, Vidyaranya strongly believes in empowerment and hence initiatives are undertaken to develop sustainable solutions to the problem at hand, along with providing the inmates with basic amenities of food, clothing and shelter. The children at our shelter are provided with quality education as we understand the importance of Education in shaping one's life and hence we strive for an environment that nurtures growth and individual development.
We also have rehabilitation centers to reintegrate and empower women who are victims of trafficking, domestic violence, rape and other heinous crimes. In order to empower these women, various vocational training like tailoring, jewelry making, etc. are undertaken.
Old age homes are also executed for senior citizens wherein we pay special attention to their needs and create an environment of being accepted. The senior citizens undergo vocational training like candle making, paper bag making, etc. and also indulge in activities like yoga, picnics, etc.
